Mambo Kings Interview

On Wednesday, Aug 7, 2019, Mambo Kings, the foremost Latin jazz ensemble, came to Chicago to play a concert in Millennium Park, backed by the Grant Park Orchestra, titled “Hot Latin Nights.” Mambo Kings has a national reputation for their explosive blend of Afro Cuban rhythms and jazz improvisation, and for this Chicago concert, they are bringing us the music of Tito Puente and Dave Brubeck, pop strains of The Beatles, and Gershwin’s Cuban Overture, as part of the Grant Park Music Festival series.
