2019 MOLE DE MAYO
Join Economic Strategies Development Corporation (ESDC) in its tenth annual Mole de Mayo Festival, the only outdoor mole cook-off event celebrating Latino culture and Mexican cuisine from May 24-26, 2019, located on 18th St. (Blue Island Ave. and Ashland Ave.) in Pilsen. Each year, mole experts from popular eateries serve up their specialty mole dish to compete for Best Mole and People’s Choice award. Festival goers can vote for their favorite mole dish, support local merchants and artisan vendors, watch lucha libre perform their famous acrobatic maneuvers, and so much more!
As the premier presenter of Mexican and Latin American folk music and emerging talent, music will be the uniting force on two anchoring stages, Luna East Stage and Sol West Stage and also at the dance central DJ Satellite Stage. Must see headliners are Connie Parra & The Mambo Express, Los Mirlos, Sonora Dinamita, Selena and the Bidi Bidi Banda, Grammy Award-winning

The festival hours are from Noon to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 24, Noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, and Noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 26. Suggested donation is $5 for individuals and $10 for families. CTA: Pink Line, #18, #9, #60.
