BE PART OF THE TRADITION AND CELEBRATE WITH US MEXICAN FIESTA!

Milwaukee, WI – The Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (WHSF) invites you to celebrate the 46th Anniversary of Mexican Fiesta, which is one of the largest Mexican Hispanic festivals in the Midwest (paid entrance). Since 1973, Mexican Fiesta has brought the sound, culture, and taste of México and Latin American countries to Milwaukee’s lakefront.

Celebrate three days of fun, food, Mariachi, and Fiesta this coming August 23rd, 24th & 25th, 2019 at the Henry W. Maier Festival Park |Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From noon to midnight all three days! (200 N. Harbor Dr. Milwaukee, WI 53202).

New at the entrance: A representation of the Pyramid of Chichén Itzá.

Be amazed by one of the 7 Wonders of the World! Learn more about this pyramid at Mexican Fiesta and enjoy the shows around it during the three days.

Mexican Fiesta encourages individuals from all ethnic backgrounds to share the beauty of the Latin Countries’ history, art, music, and food. The (most visit) Cultural Pavilion will display an extraordinary show and exhibition of the Mexican arts & crafts from more than 150 artisans coming directly from different states of México. Where the past and the present come alive through the crafts, folkloric dances, music, and craft workshops. Also, you can enjoy our traditional freshly baked bread “Pan de Feria,” by master bakers directly from México. Don’t forget to stop by the Genealogy booth that will feature “La Maleta Mexicana” The immigration of Spaniards to México and the Epoca de Oro del Cine Mexicano / Golden Age of Mexican Cinema.

Opening Ceremony will take place on Friday, August 23rd| 5:00 p.m. at the Cultural Pavilion.

Do not miss the Symphonic Concert – a fusion of Mariachi, Orchestra and Soprano singer that will make you feel like you are in México. Also, all three days you will be able to see the ESTATUAS VIVIENTES / Living Statues that come alive to create memories. On Friday, dress up like a CATRINA and join the Dia de Los Muertos Parade, plus visit the exhibit at the Cultural Pavilion to learn more about the tradition of the “Altar” and all the elements about this festivity.

On Saturday, a spectacular Custom Car & Motorcycle Show will be on display from noon to 6:00 p.m. at the south end of the grounds. Be ready to have fun at the Lucha Libre/ Wrestling show at the Sports at the US Cellular area on Saturday and Sunday, a special appearance by Hurancán Ramírez Jr.

Mexican Fiesta has the honor to count with the presence of Our Lady of Guadalupe once again! The sanctuary honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe will be open for the three days of the festival from noon to midnight. Join us in the lakefront procession at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass at the BMO Harris Pavilion on Sunday. Mass is FREE, after mass all promotions and gate ticket prices apply.

Mexican Fiesta is also promoting health! On Sunday, August 25th the Fiesta Run & Walk will take place at the Lake Shore Park (Summerfest grounds) to create and maximize public awareness on the devastating effects of Diabetes and Obesity. Enjoy all these activities at an affordable price by purchasing your tickets ahead of time at the Mexican Fiesta office and El Rey Grocery Stores, and Sendik’s Stores for only $15 per adult (9yrs old +), children 8 years old and under get in for FREE with an adult. The WHSF provides a cultural and educational environment to enhance and improve the academic success of the Hispanic Community while promoting a better understanding of the arts, history, literature and the perpetuation of Hispanic culture. To date, WHSF has provided over $1,330,000.00 in college scholarships and community nonprofits.
